I'd done up a few '60s BSA's and Triumps but stayed focused on some of the early '70s and '80s UJM's as the newer ones while incredibly dependable are too complicated with all the FI , traction and wheelie controls, fly-by-wire systems etc.
Lately I have been working on a early 2000's Suzuki Bandit that has been one of my biggest challenges. The previous owner had overfilled the crankcase such that it developed hydraulic 'lock'. Like our Mercury passion for in-line engines, this one is of 1200cc's and an in-line four cylinder, carbs, not FI and overall not too complicated. Luckily it came cheap but took a lot of my time and resources to get it back on the road.
Anyway, it had it's shakedown run yesterday since temps were barely tolerable. Now I need to figure out whether to get rid of it...
