Excerpts from the DEALER PRODUCT MANUAL 1962

Post by DaytonaJohn »

I purchased this Dealer Product Manual for the 1962 model lineup on eBay. This was once owned by Al Wagner, a Mercury instructor. This will be a project of continual additions. The manual has many tabs which include the features of individual models by horsepower plus the headings UNDER THE COWL, BETWEEN THE COWL AND WATERLINE, and UNDER THE WATERLINE plus more. Some pictures will be sideways, but clicking on them should straighten them up. John Timmins/ DaytonaJohn

I have 3 Merc 250’s. Yesterday I took one out for a ride. Those 250’s are strong running power-heads. I am going to put this on an AlumaCraft Model R.
Going to steer it with Quicksilver Ride Guide and a single handle remote Shift / Throttle. Hope to get it all done by July sometime. I have all the materials just time I’m lacking.
Thanks to Tom Murray for locating a center deck with a Quicksilver Ride Guide steering, these are very difficult to locate.
Dave Bemard for the shift/ throttle. Thanks guys.
