Old Mercury Brochures.  Post some photos

Postby 1500J » Fri Apr 12, 2019 2:33 am

I had been wondering when Mercury started producing brochures to advertise their outboards.  I saw this one pop up the other day. ( I forgot to bid  icon_crazy.gif )  Im not great with the early motors, but could this be 1940?  If so - this could be the first brochure?

If any of  you guys have some old brochures laying around Id like to see the early stuff. At least the cover.   1940-1960.  This 20 year stretch I dont see many brochures from.  They must be out there...

Nice stuff-  I guess the main point of this thread is the yearly brochure not so much the advertising in magazines, etc.

Each year Mercury produced a full line up brochure .  This is what I am after in the 1940-1960 range.  1960 and newer I have or have seen it.

The one I posted is the full line up brochure from possibly 1940. .  Can anyone ID the motors in it and tell me the year???

Thanks

Thank you Rob.  Great stuff.    Brochures like that 1942 are not often seen.
