Only ever took action shots of my Allison the first weekend it hit the water, 8 years ago.  This is my favorite.

1976 APBA Region 5 Avon Park Fla Grapfruit Circuit, Class 25SS hydro, 12 hydros in an all Mercury field, beginning of my 3rd year racing. Approaching the start, Left in pic is 1975 25SS Hydro National Champ Jeff Hutchins in his 1-US Craig Craft. I am just to Jeff's left in my home built (mid 50's Hal Kelly design) Wetback 64-F aiming to keep Jeff to the outside. There is another hydro wake far right leading on the inside. Jeff never could pass me.
Results: 1st far right hydro, 2nd me, 3rd Jeff H. With my 2 years racing outrunning Jeff was like outrunning the Intimidator Dale Earnhardt   Great fun times  :-)  I have the finish pic but only 1 allowed here. The pic is best I could scan from an old small Kodak Brownie photo.

Here's the Sande Ace runabout my dad bought in 1959.  The first pic in 2013 includes Mrs. Wally who I "dated" in the boat before I had my driver's license.  It wasn't as cold as it looks.

This picture shows the end of the Ace Race of 2005 with Ned's Sande Ace (in front with Merc 400) passing the "log boom" of spectators.  Yes, yes, I forgot to tilt up the motor.

Oops!  Forgot to write anything about my photo, above.
Well, it's not a great photo, anyway.   I think Wally gets my vote; now that's a great photo !

Bad stator on port engine, twins can be handy! She still ran 33 mph @4800 rpm with 4 people and 60 gallons of gas, 22-2 Aquasport.
