KG9 Gauge

Postby 58woody » Mon Jan 13, 2020 8:48 pm

Hi,

Which gauge would best replace this one?
Or, does anyone here restore them?
Needs a lens.

That seems to be a modern gauge there (not original?) and if you search the part number shown on the dial face, you might find a brand new one on ebay.  US Gauge can help you.

I was not sure if this one was original or not.
It came in the parts box.

I think you have your original gauge there. The first pic is a KG9 that is an older restoration. The second one is s KF9 that is as original as can be. They appear to be the same. Sorry about the rotated photos

You could go over to FeatherCraft.net, look for RickG, he does a fantastic job on speedos and such.

Chris,

I purchased this decades ago. Don't remember where, but had to be a website. I typically used oldmercs & vintageoutboard at the time. Hope this helps.

Ametek is sourcing a replacement. I found the one you posted Chuck for $5 bucks on eBay and there are more like it.

Ametek proposed the one you have Chuck! I bought it for $5. I have a guy who is quoting restoring mine for the nutty purists.  icon_crazy.gif
