The season begins...

1960 Merc 300 dressed as a Mark 55A, still running strong after 7 seasons. This was my first resto, the block how ever has never been opened. It idles so well.

That sure is a beautiful spot!  Looks like a great place for walleye!  I would have a hard time not stopping and placing a few hundred casts!  I love the places you post your photos from.  This sure beats my local lakes, and makes me long for northwest Ontario.  Also, great shot and the motor and boat sure look nice.  I have been out 5 times so far, but have to work all the time, so not much time.

Wow, nice photo!  Interesting feature, that waterfall into a lake I presume.  Where is this if you're willing to divulge?

Go Home Lake, ON. We are very lucky, the shoreline is Canadian Shield rocks and wind swept pines. Incredibly beautiful part of the Ontario. The big Muskoka lakes are near us.

A gentlemen’s racer. My buddy bought the boat for $200 from a marina because they wanted it gone. He refinished it over the winter and I gave him my motor to run on it. We share the boat. He made custom seats and steering wheel. Lined the dash with upholstery. Its a sweet ride!

I will be bringing two motors for our week in Minocqua this year.  Each year we take a week trip to northern Wisconsin, and I usually try to bring one or two motors along for some more long term use and get a chance to put some hours on them.  We are doing pretty good so far this year with 16 different motors on the water so far, and several have made multiple trips.  I think that reaching our annual goal of 30 different motors on the water in the season is looking like it may be in reach.  This year I am bringing my first KE-7, (A 1947, and one of my 10 "if I could only have 10 motors list")  and a 1950 KG-7.  They are both really nice runners, and have not run on boats in a few years.  I am really looking forward to putting some time on them.  The KG-7 does not have many hours on it, but I did bring the KE-7 along on this trip several years ago.  The resort we stay at has 14' Sea Nymph boats that are available, and I will also bring my 18' Lund.  I hope to make some good connections with some smallmouth soon.
