Chloe at Millville NJ

Postby Chloe » Sun Oct 11, 2015 1:35 am

Well boys, we are here in Millville having fun and winning races! For today's heats, I came in with the following:

ASH: Heat 1-5th out of 7
Heat 2- 5th out of 7
Heat 3- DQ (jumped the gun)
Heat 4- 4th out of 6

AXH: Heat 1- DQ (first 3 boats jumped)
Heat 2- 1st out of 5

We are running three days worth of heats in two days, so today we ran double heats in ASH and then tomorrow I will run double heats in AXH. 3 out of my 6 starts we timed perfect; hit the start right at 0sec. Plan on playing around with some different props tomorrow to try and find that extra mph. Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings. I'll keep all you guys updated with another post tomorrow night on how tomorrow's racing goes.

Good job Chloe! Don't worry about the DQ's, practice makes perfect. Pretty soon you'll be hitting it every time!

Sorry I never got to meet you.  It was a very confusing day for me (long story).

On Sat. afternoon in the pits we had a world class prop builder[C.D.] come to us with a suitcase full of custom props. He said, after watching several heats, I am sure that that Mercury on your transom is very strong, and I think I have the right prop for the motor/boat/driver combination. He offered us several props, and the one I chose to put on Chloe's new motor worked perfect, she went out and won her first heat. Several racers made it a point to say to me that that new Mercury motor Chloe is racing is super strong, and by the way, where did you get the "killer prop". I just smiled and said that we will be buying it from the owner. A super strong motor,a world class prop,an aggressive, talented driver= success.Bottom line, the kid can drive, she " gets it".
