The picture with the 6 one the white hydro was taken in Hillsdale Mich in 2010.  This was the first time out for the 75H Mod and it actually won one heat that weekend ending up third overall.  The boat was too narrow and could not hold the throttle more than half open down the straights due to chine walk. The four cylinder to it is a 40 CI engine we put four Tiliston snow mobile carbs on along with oil injection to the main bearings.  That is me in the background working on the 20H I built out of all new parts. Ran in A Mod that week end and ended up third overall in 6 heats of racing.
75H Mod and 44 Mod rear.jpg

This picture is of my brother Alan (left) with Doug Kay as we picked up his original 75H restoration in Roseville Michigan a couple of years ago.  Everything on the engine is original except the paint and thumb screws.

The Mark 75 is Serial # 1073035. Number 38 off the line

The Merc 800 is Serial # 1336487P It was returned to the factory in the middle of the year 1960 for warranty repair. It was never put back on a boat and sat on display in the marina until 1980. It is all original. Essentially a new motor.
