I like the top picture with the HotRod boxed in by five toilet bowls!  Imagine the decibel level there!

First I didn't realize they still race vintage mercs.
Second that popper has a face shield on. Have to start calling it merc helmet.

I just love the sound of a Merc with megaphones, but a Poppers sound just plain noisy to me.  Sorry, but that's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.

Ever been to Daytona, the thunder of all those cars is like a squadron of WWII B17 bombers, not like one B17 . Agreed 1 popper is noisy but 12 poppers at the start is a different tune with the blend of all the different but close revs, definately  8-)  I regret not racing BSH with a popper.
