Chloe at Lock haven

Postby mercsami » Fri Sep 08, 2017 1:16 am

Three days of racing at lock Haven.Sat. and Sun. were cold and damp, rain most of the time.We raced in the rain, fierce competition, larger than usual fields.
We always fire the motors before each heat, and its a good thing we did. When I fired up the Sidewinder, only ran on one cylinder.Quickly changed plugs and that solved the problem.I swear by NGK plugs, but they seem to not like moisture. The Mercury 15 race motor did not have this problem.
Monday racing in ASH,Chloe nailed the start, was way ahead of the others, dove into the first turn. As she was exiting, the Sidewinder shut down, seems the inner stainless steel throttle cable decided it wanted to break. We made quick repairs between heats, and the next heat she finished 3rd.
Listing the results as I remember them, not official.
     9/2                                         9/3                                               9/4
 AXH-2nd                                  AXH-4th.                                        AXH-2nd.
 ASR-5th.                                  ASR-4th.                                        ASR-4th.
 ASH-4th.                                 ASH-5th.                                        ASH-3rd.
If our math is correct,Chloe is still in 2nd. place for High Points in the nation in ASH.All this is unofficial as the APBA is taking 3-4 weeks to post results.
