Wizzy on a Canoe

Postby mercaholic » Fri Nov 15, 2019 9:35 pm

Took this pic many years ago at a Meet that I can't recall.

I think he mounted a Powermatic 12 on his canoe.

Made for great entertainment and he managed to keep things afloat under WOT....

Good observation and it would seem more practical.

If Joe Salemi is looking at this post, he may recall as I seem to remember him there too.

Probably a Super 5, I have both motors & I think a Powermatic 12 would sink the canoe at dock as it weighs in at 90 pounds which with the driver would sink any canoe & if it did not the motor push would stand the canoe on end or flip over backwards if it was running right . A Super 5 in its own right is quite a quick little motor & might work on a Canoe, I have run one on a 10 foot & very light, (81 lbs), aluminum open boat & it works fine.
