Mark 35AL

Postby spitdoc » Mon Jan 29, 2018 11:37 pm

This is a Mark 35AL that I picked up in pieces.  I have been going at it slowly learning along the way.  At this point I have the electric system pretty well serviced included repaired internal harness, serviced magneto, good choke solenoid, restored controls and good external harness.  Starter took two to get one that works-it has a 11 tooth Bendix.  Cleaned and serviced the carbs, new fuel lines from Chris on the way.  Striped and primed cowls and midsection.  I have to finish the lower unit seals and water pump (going to try heat and remove water pump cartridge and driveshaft at once).  Found a nice bronze prop. I have the clamp/swivel primed and face plate coming along.  Then on to the powerhead.  Kind of backwards approach but it sure keeps me busy at work on slow days!
