"Twin Towers" videos

Postby finnegan » Sat Jan 27, 2018 9:02 am

Not a current project, but I thought you guys might like to see a repowering I did about 5 years ago.  I bought these engines new - they are not restored.  The boat is a classic 1971 Boston Whaler Outrage 21, a quite rare old center console in excellent condition, and the begining of the Whaler "Outrage" name for offshore center consoles.

Power is a pair of in-line 6's.  Shown in the first video of "18 cylinders" idling is also my 1979 Whaler Montauk with a single 115 on it.

I should have indicated this boat runs about 54 MPH with 22" Laser II's.  As shown, we're doing about 3000 RPM and 30 MPH.

Conrad - Regarding the Merc In-lines, not yet, with this cold Wisconsin Springl   But hope to be up there soon.  However we have been using the Whaler 25 Outrage with twin Merc 200 EFI's all winter in FL.  This boat will run about 62 MPH with the 21" Enertia props.

Hope to see you again up in Door County this summer.
